My Latest Skin Care Favorite

Hi everyone! I have recently come across a really cool skin care tip and just had to share it with my lovely readers! This products exfoliates the skin, removing dead skin cells. It helps treat acne and will leave your face feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Best of all it is totally cheap! What is the product?.....
 Baking soda!

That's right. I've been using it to exfoliate my face every few days after I cleanse and it is working wonders for me! I used to get acne really bad when I was younger and now just deal with little bumps that come up every once in a while. After I used this the next day my skin felt and looked awesome! The way I use it is I just put about a teaspoon to a tablespoon in my hand and add a few drops of water to make a paste, then gently scrub all over my face for a few seconds. Don't be too harsh with it or you will turn your skin bright pink. I can feel results even right after doing this because it makes my skin feel fresh and smooth. I encourage you to try it out because it has helped me a lot. I hope this is helpful! ^.^

FFVIII Guardian Force Series-Bahamut

Today's look is based off of Bahamut from Final Fantasy VIII. I had to do a Bahamut look because he is one of the most epic Guardian Forces. In my opinion he pwns the most among the GFs. It's not as dramatic of a look as it could be, but I think it still works. I hope you enjoy!

The Breakdown

Magneton from Shiro Cosmetics on the lid
Red from Coastal Scents 88 Matte palette in the crease/upper lid

Garden Botanika Eye Shadow Review and Swatches

My darling sister-in-law introduced me to Garden Botanika products when she mentioned they were having a bogo(buy one get one free) sale on their eye shadows. The company has some very nice neutral soft shades. I picked out two, Stardust and Eggplant. Below I have pictures of them in the pots and swatched with Too Faced Shadow Insurance underneath.

Stardust on the right and Eggplant on the left.

I would have to say the color pay off isn't as good as I'd like it to be, but they are really nice colors. I'll just be sure to use a good primer underneath them. I will probably use Stardust more for highlighting and Eggplant will make a good smokey look. I may try out some of their other colors in the future. I'll also try to post a look using these eye shadows. Anyways, I hope you all like!

Goodness, this was long overdue! I've been sick and miserable, so not paying too much attention to my blog, but I wanted to post a picture of the gift I got from Amalia of Dior and More for a contest she hosted a few weeks ago. Check her out blog out, she has some great product reviews! ^.^
So, tada!
I got the Buxom Lash mascara in Blackest Black and the Smashbox limitless eye liner in Onyx and I love them both! Especially the eye liner..... it might be competing with the Urban Decay 24/7 eye liner for my favorite eye liner =3 We'll see. Anyways, what a sweetie Amalia is! Thank you, girlie!

Looks Using Kat Von D Tattoo Chronicles Palette

Yay! I love my Kat Von D products! I've been playing around with this palette and no matter what I do with the colors I'm loving it. The primers are also fantastic! Below I have a sort of softer look and a dark look. I really like using dark shadows so I went with something softer in the first look to mix things up. ^.^ I hope you like.

What I used:

Kat Von D Primer in Skin
Solitude on the eye lid
Heartkiller in the crease
Lemmy above the crease
Peanut on the brow bone

What I used:
Kat Von D Primer in Stellar
Nite owl on the lid
Solitude in the crease
Peanut on the brow bone
Baudelaire on the inner corners

For both looks I used Urban Decay 24/7 eye liner in Zero and UD Skyscraper Mascara.

Urban Decay Skyscraper Multi-Benefit Mascara

 Hi everyone!
I was on one of my addict fix visits in Sephora (my favorite makeup store ^.^) when I decided I needed some more 24/7 Urban Decay eye liner. I happened upon a pack that had the liner in a slightly smaller size that came with the sample size of the Skyscraper Mascara for only $14! OMG! That's eye liner for $3-4 less than normal and it comes with something else! Though I didn't pay attention to the mascara (didn't even realize it was a mascara til I got home) I happily grabbed it and trotted along to the counter to purchase. Upon finding that this was a mascara I tried it out and wow, am I impressed. I am usually apprehensive to try new mascaras because I get stuck on a favorite and am too stubborn to move on, but I'm glad I kind of accidentally bought this product. So this will be a review of the Skyscraper Multi-Benefit Mascara from Urban Decay!

The packaging itself is cute. I always like the patterns that UD puts on their products.

Check out this wand! I really like it because it doesn't have huge bristles so it's easier to apply and not get everywhere.

Here is the before:

And the after:

When I first tried this mascara I was very excited because it makes my lashes lengthen and curl at the same time. The bristles on the wand help with this. Also, I believe the formula itself is more of a dry formula, which makes me happy because the more moist mascaras just make my lashes heavy and look like spider lashes >.< My favorite mascara for the longest time has been the Diorshow because it lengthens and thickens the lashes better than others. After trying this product I would have to say that it is my new favorite. I will definitely be buying the regular size. I still love my Diorshow and I would say that to compare the two, if you want more length go for the UD Skyscraper and if you want more thickness go with the Diorshow. I hope this is helpful!

FFVIII Guardian Force Series-Ifrit

Hi everyone! I'm back, yay! It feels like I haven't posted in a very long time. I've neglected my blog for the past few days because I've been hanging out with family and doing some wedding planning. I had a great time and am glad to be back to my makeup addiction!

So today's Guardian Force inspiration is Ifrit! He is one of my favorites in the game. When you call him forth he throws a huge chunk of fiery earth into the sky and slams it down on the enemies. The cinema scene is pretty epic. I tried to capture the brown coloring of his skin, the purple of his horns, and the red for the fire. The red in this picture looks more like pink, but I promise it was red in the palette. I hope you enjoy!

The Breakdown
Bulletto from tokidoki on the whole lid.
Underland from Urban Decay in the crease and along the lower lash line.
Coastal Scents 88 matte palette for the red in the outer and inner corners.
Drink Me, Eat Me from Urban Decay on the brow bone.
Urban Decay 24/7 eye liner in Zero on the waterline and upper lash line.
Urban Decay Skyscraper Multi-Benefit Mascara for the lashes.
Number 33 lashes by Salon Perfect.

For blush I just did contouring with Royal Pride.
